Marc Hekster is a Chartered Psychologist and Jungian Psychoanalyst. He is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Marc is also accredited as a Jungian Psychoanalyst by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). During the course of his career as a clinical psychologist in the NHS, Marc has worked extensively in the specialist area of post traumatic stress disorder, and has co-ordinated an NHS day hospital service, specialising in the treatment of severe personality disorder. He has over two decades of experience as a therapist and a long standing interest in long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy, specializing in the Jungian Analytic approach. Therapy is available in English and Dutch.

Brigid Hekster is a Chartered Psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She specialises in Child and Family therapy. Brigid trained at University College London and in addition to her private practice she worked in the NHS from 1996 to 2012. For many of those years she was employed by the South London and Maudlsey NHS Trust and worked extensively with life-limiting paediatric conditions and sexual health. Brigid has a background in working systemically with individuals, couples, families and teams and has published in a range of areas relating to couples and families.

Janice Hiller is a Chartered Psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She trained at the institute of Psychiatry and worked in the NHS for over 30 years where she was head of a Couples and Relationships Service for 16 years. Janice left the NHS in 2012 to become a Senior Academic Tutor in Psychosexual Studies at Tavistock Relationships and continue in her private clinical practice. Janice is particularly interested in arousal and desire issues, psychosexual development and the role of neuroscience in understanding intimate interactions. In addition to her clinical practice Janice has a wealth of experience running training events covering sexual and relationship issues and is a visiting academic tutor at Tavistock Relationships. Janice has published widely on various topics in sexology and she co-edited and contributed to the book, Sex Mind and Emotion (2006).

Cristina Zago is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP). She originally trained as an Art Therapist at Goldsmiths College, University of London and worked for 15 years in the NHS in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Surrey. Cristina completed her child and adolescent psychotherapy training at the Tavistock Clinic in 2015. Since qualifying as a child and adolescent psychotherapist, Cristina has continued to work in the NHS. She also works in a primary school alongside developing her private practice and is a part-time Visiting Lecturer on several courses at the Tavistock Clinic.
Cristina’s interests focus on supporting young children and teenagers challenged by low mood, lack of motivation, and a sense of pressure and anxiety in the context of losses and transitions in their lives. She works with parents and carers to enhance their understanding and to facilitate a reflective space where a sense of meaning can be gained to support change.

Rachel is an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist working solely in private practice. She qualified from the Tavistock Clinic in 2004 and worked for 17 years in an east London Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), finishing as Lead Psychotherapist. She holds seminars on Infant Observation at the Tavistock, and leads online courses in child psychotherapy for students in China. She has lectured at the University of East London and has appeared in the media, including the Guardian and BBC Radio. Rachel works with all age groups up to the age of 25, for difficulties including stress, anxiety, low mood, loss and bereavement. She offers short and long-term work, following an initial assessment for psychotherapy, as well as parental consultation and support. Rachel believes strongly in the importance of providing an empathic, supportive and non-judgemental setting in which concerns can be explored and given meaning. Sessions can be provided in person or online, depending on individual circumstances. Rachel is a full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists.

Esté Grobler is a Chartered Psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is an Europe Accredited EMDR Practitioner and is also a level 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapist. Esté has been working in private practice since 2003 and has a second master’s degree in Somatic Psychology. Somatic Psychology is a branch of psychology that explores the intertwined relationship between the mind and body when exploring psychological matters. It’s an approach that includes physical techniques such as using the breath, mindfulness and movement to explore and process past events. Esté is also a Yoga teacher which further informs her practice and understanding of the body-mind link and the role it plays in overall well-being. She offers therapy in English and Afrikaans.

Kate Prentice is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, specialising in adolescent mental health. Alongside her work at The Summit Clinic, Kate works as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, and she has extensive experience working with young people facing anxiety, low mood, OCD, traumatic or stressful experiences, and difficulties managing strong emotions. Much of her work centres around the challenges of adolescence, and she seeks to provide an inclusive, non-judgemental space for young people. She also offers parent and family sessions where helpful, to support long-lasting positive outcomes. Kate is trained in a number of evidence-based therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and her practice is formulation-driven, tailored to each individual. Kate completed her clinical doctorate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), and she has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge.

Our consulting rooms are conveniently located in the heart of Highgate, North London. The Summit Clinic, in Highgate Village, is situated on the site of the historic Fox and Crown Public House.
